Commissions

As well as creating unique paintings, Olivia works with clients to produce bespoke commissions. Starting with an initial consultation Olivia will meet to discuss the client’s vision. This can be a specific view of a special place, a landscape or building or even a photograph taken by a loved one. Olivia will then take the images and ideas and re-capture them in her own distinctive style. After the initial consultation, Olivia will start developing sketches and ideas. Once she has a concept she will present her initial designs before final agreement with the client. Olivia understands the delicate nature of commissioning a work and will discuss and amend the proposal until the client is happy; only then will she start working on the final piece.

Commissions can be designed and scaled to fit a specific room or space and Olivia will take this into consideration when designing the piece. Each painting is framed using non-reflective UV filtered glass to give the artwork longevity. This also means the work can be hung in most locations without risk of fading or sun damage. The framing style will be undertaken in consultation with the client and chosen to suit their interior and the location of the artwork.

Depending on the size, commissions take several months to complete: from inception to framing and final delivery. Olivia Rawnsley offers a complimentary delivery and installation of any artwork or commission.

Commissions are priced according to a structure based on scale and will be discussed in the first meeting. Olivia will take a deposit after the first meeting before undertaking any work; framing and delivery are included in the final price.
